0.25b-Alpha Public Build Release - Suggestive Hailey Scene & Lewd Rose Scene!
Version 0.25b-Alpha of Insexual Awakening 2 is now available to the public! Version 0.25a includes all of the content from Version 0.25, (new suggestive Hailey scene and new lewd Rose scene) and also some tweaks to Sarah's bust art along with bug fixes.
I had mentioned this in the early access build post on Subscribestar, but I wanted to explain why this build took an extra month to be completed. It was due to some health issues I (Hydro) was having during the month of September. I had some kind of bizarre stomach/abdominal virus or something that was very unpleasant. It basically felt like I had pulled my muscles/had a hernia when I didn't. And one thing about being in discomfort/not feeling well is it can really distract you from completing work!
Anyway, I've been feeling better and things should now be back on track to our usual pace! Thanks for being patient, everyone!
Planned upcoming content:

- Halloween content for Sarah!
NOTE: Before upgrading, please make sure the save you intend to load for this build is saved in your room without any menus open. This is required to ensure that your save is as compatible as possible.

Image Changes
- Sarah's bust art was changed slightly.
Bug Fixes
- Characters are now in their casual clothes at school if it's casual clothing day. Except for a certain little lady.
- Fixed Tracy's "last scene in build" not appearing for the correct scene.
- Fixed Hailey's scene from 0.25 being incorrectly available on the weekend.
- Fixed typo in Rose's latest scene.
- Fixed Rose asking you to help tutor students but you go clean her classroom instead.
- When normally the game would go back to the main menu when having an error when loading a save, it goes to the next day instead.

ReplyDeleteI hope you're being sarcastic, because I'd love to know how a straight sholicon game with one optional gay route that currently has only one hardcore scene, while there are currently 5 other playable straight routes, 3 of which have plenty of hardcore scenes and one other one with lewd undertones, can be considered "yaoi heavy".

If you're gonna hate on it so much, you don't have to play it. You don't have to be here. It's that simple.
DeleteAnd yes, Tracy is a very popular character because his story is really well written, much like everyone else's. Although his is a bit more tragic, plus his shyness, it makes him really endearing. The fact of the matter is that the programming half of the dev team is also Tracy's main writer. He works on that on his free time while the other half of the dev team writes and plans the other characters. He can't program scenes that haven't been written yet, so while he's waiting for the script to render or animate and program, he's having fun writing a side, optional character.
And, just so you all have the heads up now, there will be future IA titles, and those titles will have optional yaoi content as well. Better get used to it. It's not going anywhere. Don't like it? Don't play it.

I supported IA 1 on parteron for a long time I was only a 1 dollar donor but I supported it what is hard about subscribestar is the pay options I don't have.
Firstly, I'm not trying to be condescending. I'm just explaining the reality of the situation. But, well, let's also just clarify one thing that a few others have done as well, and that's misgendering Tracy. Tracy is a he, not a she. Tracy is definitely a boy. A gay boy. Not trans, not wanting to be a girl in any way. He just finds girls clothes more comfortable.
DeleteSecondly, there are no polls that people vote on that determine the direction an update will take, so it's not like everyone keeps voting for Tracy, so he gets content every update. Besides, if that were true, and Tracy kept winning the polls, then that further proves how popular he is and that his presence is welcome, which would only lead to more future content of that nature.
Thirdly, IA is not going to become an all yaoi series. It is a straight sholicon series with incest at its core, and that will always be the case. With half the dev team, and the main writer being straight, I don't think he'll make an all gay game. Just saying. But that doesn't mean gay content is going away.
Part of what makes the IA series so unique is that there are no other games like them, with a shota protagonist that can have love interests with so many different age ranges, especially from a western hentai game. Add on the fact that Daniel can canonically be bisexual makes the game even more unique, which appeals to people who might not be straight who want to play the game. It increases the potential fanbases, which, in turn, potentially increases the support base, which means more money for the developers to do all that they wish. Given the game's...alternative...content is optional, and off by default, it really shouldn't affect people who only like straight content too much. I guess the only real gripe can come if an update has entirely gay content, which essentially leaves the people who don't care for it without an update for a month. Which has only happened once in 25 updates. I think people can live with that.
Finally, here it is, I expected more but guess I can understand it.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but don't ruin your enjoyment of the game over something optional

DeleteMy only problem with this update is the lack of animation with the scene with Rose. It is very frustrating that after a long wait we are left with only static images.
ReplyDeleteA future Rose sex scene will be animated for sure. As Tyran stated above there was no additional work done given the extra month's wait because of the illness of one of the devs, who's back to full strength, btw. But as he's the writer, the Rose scene wasn't written...until it was. Then the programmer/animator can create the necessary CGs to match, which he did. When Daniel fucks Rose in a different position, that scene will be animated.

Haha! Someone else that wants to see Tracy impregnated. Glad I'm not alone in that. It's not likely to be a main component of the game since the game isn't in a sci-fi or fantasy setting, so mpreg is highly unlikely, but one of the developers said he might consider doing it in a dream sequence. But with everything else that needs to happen that will take higher priority, like actual impregnation content and the like, it is by no means a guarantee it will happen.

ReplyDeleteSoon, hopefully. The scene that the devs are working on for the main content is large and focuses on Robin, and it's both heavily story driven and lewd, so it's taking some time. Plus, I'm guessing the devs want to make sure that all the potential conditionals are met for previous content, which makes developing the scene take longer. Last we checked in with the devs a couple days ago they said it's about a week away from completion. And who knows what other content might be added as well, like more Tracy content or the start of Sabrina's route that was hinted at coming soon. I know that both were being worked on, but I'm not sure if they will be released with this update or the next. Judging by the timeline, for supporters, the update should come within a week or so, and about a week to 10 days after for everyone else. Everyone's patience will be rewarded, trust and believe.

DeleteI know that the devs are working on Sarah's Halloween content, so that might be done for not this update, but the next one. Probably not her trick or treating part, necessarily, but having her actually participate in the party itself like she's supposed to. I think I'd rather advance her story more, personally, but she is supposed to be there, so adding her in isn't a bad thing, as it needs to happen eventually anyway.

ReplyDeleteIt will be really worth it when the update is released, though. It is projected to be the largest scene in the game to date, which is why it is taking so long to complete. I don't know about you all, but I'd rather have a completed scene that fully embodies the devs' vision, than a rushed scene or an incomplete scene released in an arbitrary deadline just for the sake of release. The devs do try to release an update once a month, but sometimes circumstances, or the sheer amount of content don't allow that to happen. It's a goal, not a hard and fast rule. And if the scene just so happens to take over a month to release, so be it. At least, that's my thoughts on it. I'm just happy it's still being worked on.

ReplyDeleteWell, the update just released today for supporters, so I would estimate that based on the timing, and given that the IA2 2nd Anniversary is coming up, that the public release will sync up with that. And that just so happens to be Christmas. Keep an eye out for the public release around then. And no, do not listen to that "Developer", as there are only two and one of them doesn't really come here and follow the blog, and the other's name is on each of these update posts, if you pay attention. Take this from one of the Discord mods and supporters.
